ITINERARY

This trip will start from the Dehradun railway station. It will be a pick up in the morning at sharp 7 AM. It will be a drive to Sankri through Mussoorie where you will be able to find several rivers and the famous Yamuna river.

On the driveway, you will also be able to find some astonishing pine forest. Since we will drive through Musourrie, you can also get a view of the Tons Rivers. Moving through the confluence of Ruinsara and Supin will take your breath away. When you reach Sankri, the mesmerizing scenic view of the hamlet will itself prepare the trekkers to go on for the trek. This is all for the first day of Har Ki Dun, as we will make an overnight stay at Sankri.

On the first day, you will be able to witness the beauty of the village. You can find many apple orchards that have been harvested from late summer. Apart from that, the beautiful village also produces potatoes, apricots and peaches which you can taste while you're in the stay. On the way you drive, you will be able to have a look at the Kedarkantha peak from several points.

This is the second day of the Har Ki Doon trek. We start very early on this day. Once breakfast is done, we will take a drive through the forest road. Brace yourself as this can be a bumpy drive. On your way you might cross one or two streams. It will take an hour to reach Taluka. This is a tiny village that has two government guest houses and very few shops. The stony path starts from here.

You will be able to get the cedar fragrance while you're passing Taluka. However, during the winters, this road can be especially very dangerous for the vehicles. Since streams cross through the road, sometimes you are required to walk the entire stretch for 8 km.

After walking for a few hours, you will find the village Gangadhar on your left. You might come across the yellow throated marten in this area. The trek continues and within a few hours we will reach Pauni Garaat - which is the secluded campsite.

After the breakfast is done, then we go through the Govind Park land which is a thick forest offering pristine landscape of flora and fauna. It is placed in the confluence of Rupin and Supin rivers. You might be able to observe some live species like Musk deer, Serow, Brown bears, Bharal, Mousedeer, Snowcock, Kaley Pheasants and much more.

The depression route creates a complete balance between leisure walk and steep claims. This is a cradled fashion valley located in the majestic Himalayas. The primary trail is the steepest section which will take 30 to 40 minutes to cover. The entire landscape surrounding Osler is a completely terraced form and the colours differ in every season.

From here, the trail will rise higher and you have to cross a few fields. It will also cross the Temple below the trail which will fall on your right. The journey will be short but will offer you the opportunity to prepare for the journey on the next. The fantastic campsite will give you the opportunity to enjoy the campsite of Kalkatidhar.

This is the final day that we all were waiting for. So, from today, our trek to Kalkatiyadhaar will start where we will be able to find out some of the most astounding views of the places on our journey. You can observe the tall pine trees swaying with wind, which is lovely to observe.

This is a long trek and today we will visit Marintal Tal and Har ki Dun. After trekking for a few kilometers, you can encounter the waterfall. The roaring waterfall is the start of the scenic beauty.

The more the journey continued, the more you keep uncovering the beauty. After climbing a few more kilometers, you will be able to get the view of the mesmerizing confluence of Ruinsara valley and the Supin River. On your north, we can find the Har Ki Dun valley.

You will be able to view Black Peak, Ruinsara valley from distance. Walking alongside the right of the river, you will be entering inside a forest. It is a panoramic destination where you can find some stunning views. This is a spot where two valleys meet.

When you move upwards on the north, the Forest Rest House will be standing up and visible. Just behind it, you will find the majestic Har ki Dun peak. The stunning beauty of the location will keep you in its awe for sometimes.

On the left, you can view the snow covered Hata peak. The Himalayan Birch trees hold a mythological importance. These barks were like papers were used for writing religious scriptures.

Moving ahead, you can get the view of Swargarohini peak and Jaundhar glacier. Take time to soak in the serenity and beauty of the place. From here we will continue our walk to the small lake Marinda tal. It is a small trek of 2 to 3 kms from Har ki Dun.

After enjoying a blissful day, we will take back the same route and reach the campsite.

We will check out every step while you mark back from the journey. Today, we will visit Paunigaraat which is location on our way to the location. While we move down, the higher scenic landscape offers a mesmerizing view. You will feel similarly energized with the herbal splendor while ending our journey and heading home.

This will be a simple trek will full of excitement. After walking the trail for 5 hours, we have to trek another 6.5 kms. While on our way, we will Osla and soak in the splendor of the location. While we reach our camp to Paunigaraat, the snow clad peaks and the majestic Himalayan range will keep enticing you.

After you complete your breakfast in the early morning, we will set out from the campsite and reach the stunning abode where we have started the trekking. We will follow the same trail that we have trekked on day one. We will move towards Taluka.

Even when you might find a difference in the view while trekking downhill, it was still the same while we moved up. Now, it will take less time compared to the time we started and will become enjoyable. Walking on the left of the Supin river, we will arrive at Taluka from where the vehicle will take us back to Sankri. Our day will complete once we reach the campsite or the guest house in Sankri.
